Aha!
If you build it, they will come.
My girl Lysa has stepped up to the plate and, man-oh-man, did she get a piece of that ball! Whether or not her entry will result in a base hit or a home run is up to the rest of you batters.
(And you thought I didn't know my baseball metaphors.)
I was so impressed and inspired by Lysa's entry that I've decided to make the Worst Catalog Gift of 2008 an official contest with PRIZES - honest-to-goodness-bonafide-I-bought-it-just-for-this-occasion PRIZES - each one a Major Award with Fra-geeeeee-lay written on the outside of the box and everything!
See the Official Contest Rules.
See Worst Catalog Gift examples.
So back to what's really important today....
Lysa has brought us a truly magnificent item... the ONE... the ONLY...
TOOTHPICK HOLDER MAN!
Yeaaaaaaaaaaah, baby! That's what I'm talkin' about!
I love this guy. I want this guy.
If you want him, you can visit the oh-so-helpful Harriet Carter and order this item for the low, low price of $9.98 plus S&H.
So, Lysa's thrown down the catcher's mitt. (This is a baseball metaphor, remember? There are no gauntlets in baseball... or any other sport, for that matter. Clearly, gauntlets have no place in this discussion.)
Okay, who's up to bat next?
I hear crickets again.... What's with those guys, anyway?... Don't they have a home to go to....

Hahaha!! I actually have one of these in black! It was a gift from a coworker and I loved it. No, I didn't sit in my office serving cubes of cheese and salami during meetings with the team, but this little guy was a great stress reliever when I had a particularly challenging day. It always made me chuckle as I gave him a new identity depending on who had wronged me the most that day. Passive aggressive is my middle name! LOL!!

No, Lysa didn't actually buy it! LOL! And that's not her hand - that's the picture from the online catalog. If you go to the link "Harriet Carter", it'll show you the whole ad with ordering info, etc. (Because I know you want this deep, down in your heart!) *grin*

Toothpick Man/instant voodoo doll, I say! This is pretty scary....
So Lysa actually bought it? That's her hand in the photo? Kinda looks like acupuncture, too. Ouch.....
