I totally agree, I hate Mavis, too! I never took typing in school, what little I've learned came by way of IRC (chat rooms they're called now) and while I am not the speediest typist in the world, Mavis slowed me to an absolute crawl. Maddening! So I chucked her in the round file and have been happily pecking along ever since.

I've never met Mavis & I don't think I want to. Deep breathes Deborah, soon this phase will pass, & lets hope it's for the last time ;)

OMG Deborah you are so darn funny. You tell Your DH no more cellophane or he best open in the car next time!

You are so funny! You truly have a gift of telling a story! Your blog always leaves me with a smile on my face!
PS- Mavis and I are friends and I am going to tell her everything you said! LOL

Deborah - you make my day when I get to read your blog... you have a way with words... and I bet Mavis couldn't beat you typing it up. I found an old Mavis CD on my desk ( think it was one that my son was given to help with his typing as he is a bit dyslexic ) but I have never loaded it, - now consigned to File 13!!!.... I just type away and thank goodness for spell check and those lovely red wiggly lines ....

LOL! Too funny... I hooked up Mavis with my kids as they need to learn to type the real way so they stop asking me to type everythign for them! :O

I never heard of Mavis before!! But then, I typed over 100wpm (I'm not kidding!) in 8th grade! Didn't know there was a typing program..my hubby's having an affair with Rosetta Stone!

Literally, laughed out loud! Love your prose as much as your art! I'll keep my huntin' and peckin' hubby, thanks very much!
