May Card Chain Challenge

It's the last Friday in April, so that means it's time for the May Card Chain Challenge (CCC)! 

In April we had  participants from Australia, Canada, Denmark, England, Germany, Hong Kong (NEW!), Indonesia, (NEW!) Ireland, Mauritius, New Zealand, Norway, Switzerland, and the United States. If we add in past participating countries Belgium, Croatia, France, and Japan, we're now up to 17 countries represented thus far! That's only 178 countries to go before we can say we have complete global participation!!! (Of course, I'm still working on the alphabet, too, so are there any K or L, etc countrywomen out there who would like to play?)

For anyone new to the CCC, the basic idea is that you receive a fellow cardmaker's snail mail address, make her a card, and send it off. The next person on the list does the same thing with you, and so on. Each person makes a card for the person immediately above her in the chain, and the first person in the chain makes a card for the last person in the chain.

Everybody gets a hand-crafted card so everybody wins!

You also post the card you receive in the online gallery of your choice, and I will post these blog/gallery addresses on my blog along with a picture of the card. Everybody gets increased visibility and/or blog traffic, so everybody wins!

The whole process is fairly straightforward, so the chances of my screwing up are minimal. Everybody - except me - avoids administrative duties, so everybody wins!

3 Challenge Options

You can use as many of the following options as you like, but you're only required to use one of them.

Color Palette:

Tea Rose, Azalea, Rubyfruit, Aloe, Avacado

Note: the colors and names are a guide - 

so don't stress out if you can't get a perfect match.

Mother's Day  OR  Memorial Day  OR  Friendship

 

Deadlines

Mr. Linky sign-up: 11:59 p.m., EST, Monday, May 3, 2010. If this is your first CCC, please send your email and snail mail and a link to one of your online photo galleries to:

Mail your card: postmarked no later than Monday, May 10, 2010, in your area of the world, to the Receiver if she lives in a different country. If Receiver lives in your country, you have until Saturday, May 15th. Make sure to send Receiver an email telling her to be on the lookout! 

Upload and send me a link to the card you made: email me a picture of the card you made no later than midnight, Saturday, May 15, 2010. (I prefer you email the picture as soon as you've uploaded it to your computer - makes it easier for me to keep track of everything.)
