September Card Chain Challenge - 2010 - ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY - WOO-HOOO!

It's the last Friday in August, so that means it's time to sign up for the September Card Chain Challenge (CCC)! 

But this one is a special CCC because it marks our one year anniversary!

As a result of all the fabulous women who have shared their talent, skills, and love, I am now in the possession of many beautiful cards that have arrived from all over the world. I cherish them and the women who sent them! (I'm keeping them in a special box with a note to Gigi that it is to accompany me to the old ladies' home; failure to comply will result in immediate disinheritance!!!)  

Because it's a special occasion, I thought I'd toss out some blog candy in the form of word and alphabet stamps. I'll do a random drawing and announce the winner during the September reveal. (My apologies for the less than stellar images.)

In August we had 33 participants hailing from Canada, Denmark, France, Ireland, Indonesia, Mauritius, New Zealand, Norway, the Philippines, Switzerland, and the United States. 

For anyone new to the CCC, the basic idea is that you receive a fellow cardmaker's snail mail address, make her a card, and send it off. The next person on the list does the same thing with you, and so on. Each person makes a card for the person immediately above her in the chain, and the first person in the chain makes a card for the last person in the chain.

Everybody gets a hand-crafted card so everybody wins!

You also post the card you receive in the online gallery of your choice, and I will post these blog/gallery addresses on my blog along with a picture of the card. Everybody gets increased visibility and/or blog traffic, so everybody wins!

The whole process is fairly straightforward, so the chances of my screwing up are minimal. Everybody - except me - avoids administrative duties, so everybody wins!

You can use as many of the following options as you like, but you're only required to use one of them.

  Deadlines

Mr. Linky sign-up ends at 11:59 p.m., EST, Thursday, September 2, 2010. If this is your first CCC, please send your email and snail mail and a link to one of your online photo galleries to:

Mail your card: postmarked no later than Thursday, September 12, 2010, in your area of the world, to the Receiver if she lives in a different country. If Receiver lives in your country, you have until Friday, September 17, 2010. Make sure to send Receiver an email telling her to be on the lookout! 

Upload and send me a link to the card you made: email me a picture of the card you made no later than midnight, Friday, September 17, 2010. (I prefer you email the picture as soon as you've uploaded it to your computer - makes it easier for me to keep track of everything.)

Thanks and congrats for keeping this wonderful card exchange/challenge/global experiment going every month for the last year. I'm loving the colors for this month...I'm wondering if anyone will combine the Pirate and Veggie themes(I have a Veggie Tales song playing in my head, hmmm)...could be interesting!
