Cards For Heroes Memorial Day Blog Hop Debriefing

Gigi and I spent quite a bit of time at the blog hop sponsored by Cards For Heroes. I though it was a good opportunity to provide her with some exposure to our troops and what they do. She enjoyed hopping around looking at all the pretty cards, (I did, too). AND we actually won something!

If you didn't participate in this hop, (either as a presenter or a viewer) I strongly encourage you to do so next time. You can still visit all the blogs and see what people presented. We didn't make it all the way through the line-up, but we're going to see if we can't return periodically.

I may not always agree with the reasons our government sends our soldiers to war, but I definitely agree that we should support the men and women who are daily risking their lives for the people of this country and for those who are being oppressed in other lands. My husband comes from a military family, so this all hits close to home for us. We have in our ranks: a retired AF colonel and veteran of Vietnam, a retired Army colonel, a retired Air Force Captain who enlisted in the National Guard after 911 and is now a Colonel, and a non-com in the Air Force. My own father was an Army paratrooper who finished his tour of duty right before the Vietnam War began, and my cousin is retired Air Force. So far our family has been blessed - everyone that's been under enemy fire has returned home with life and limbs intact.
