My dear friend Kathy Racoosin has a wonderful blog called The Daily Marker, and she invited me and Vicky Papaioannou (who will not be spending April in Paris) to make some cards for a challenge she's hosting.
I made my card and then realized I was supposed to be following a sketch. (There's always somebody in the crowd who's not paying attention - t'would be yours truly this time around - so I'm just going to post my card here and avoid eye-contact in the hopes they won't notice!)
I got the other part right, though, which was to use Copics Y38, YR68, B12, and YG03 without blending, etc because the challenge is about using Copics in a simple manner. At least I think that's what it's about. (Oh, who are we kidding? Since when can I follow instructions?)
Here's my card:
SUPPLIES: Pink Petticoat digital stamp; Cougar 80# white card stock, Colormates card stock, BoBunny patterned paper; Michael's felt flower trim; generic pearls; Stickles;
Here's a sneak peek of Kathy's card:
And a peek at Vicky's card:
Click on the links to see their cards. And go to Kathy's to sign up for her challenge!
Now, for those of you who've been wondering what little surprise I've been working on, there are actually two clues in my post today - one of which is part of the card itself. There are also clues at my co-conspiritors' blogs and on my Flickr photo gallery. If you're really sharp, you may be able to figure out WHEN the surprise will be revealed. Hee-hee-hee...!
Bet that'll drive you as nuts as getting Henry Mancini's Baby Elephant Walk stuck in your head.
Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-DUH-DUM! (Da-duh-dom) Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-DUH-DUUUUUUUUUM! Da-DUUUUUUUUUUM-da-DUH-dum! Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-DUH-DUM! (Da-duh-dom) Da-duh-duh-duh-DOM, Da-duh-duh-duh-DOM, Da-duh-duh-duh-duh-duh-duh-DA-DUM!
Now what I really want to know is how many of you are now utterly incensed because it's been eight hours and you can't get an insipid melody about an ambling pachyderm out of your thoughts....
Love this fun card, Deborah! And love that you've invited all of us to play along too!

Oh, Yes, Hannah, you can use whatever you have!

OK, you just enabled me to the tune of $8.00! I love the froggie stamps and of course, found others I liked. I am too tired to try to figure out your secret; and I can't even remember the tune to the Baby Elephant Walk! But I love the color throw down challenge and I love your cards and I love your post!!
