Memory Box Card: Congratulations

Happy Father's Day!

Thank you to everyone who left comments on my post concerning the Craft Store Triumvirate's coupons! I was very happy to share, because we addicts need all the help we can get - LOL!

I made today's card for the Memory Box DT's Outside the Box blog, and it puts the focus on the Viola collection of patterned papers! It's a simple design (my favorite kind) and can be changed to fit any occasion by switching out the sentiment. It's also a good way to use up scraps!

(NOTE: I've seen this particular design idea about 50 times online, and I have no idea who came up with it first, so this is the best I can do to give the original designer credit for the idea!)

S U P P L I E S: Paper: Memory Box card (water), Viola patterned papers; stamps: Memory Box Congratulations; Inks: VersaFine (Black Onyx); Fibers: ribbon (Offray); gems (Hero Arts) Tools: FIskers Upper Crest border punch

I N S T R U C T I O N S:

1. Border punch five or six patterned papers. I was using scraps so my papers' punch outliens don't line up. Given the patterns here, it's not that noticeable, but it's something to keep in mind if you want total perfection! ;~D 
2. Layer and adhere the papers to the card except for the top one. 
3. Wrap the top layer with ribbon and tie a bow before adhering to the card. 
4. Stamp sentiment. 
5.  Adhere gems.
