Like all people of taste, I love Downton Abbey, so I decided to make some cards inspired by the show's lovely costumes.
Here's the Lady Mary in the last episode of season one. I think the stripes, lace, cross-hatching effect of the gloves, pearls and flowers of her hat were a fantastic blend of textures, don't you?
Here's the card I made based on the above costume.

- Make card base and round bottom corners.
- Adhere striped paper to card front.
- Stamp and emboss vellum with embossing powder ("EP"), cut scallops along bottom edge, and adhere to card.
- Stamp and emboss sentiment with EP on black cardstock and adhere.
- Stack and adhere flowers to card; color centers with black brush marker.
- Adhere pearls.

- Use Nestability circle dies (or other circular objects) to draw scallops for cutting.
- Cover vellum's adhesive with a sentiment panel or other element.
- Use pearls or gems to adhere or tack down vellum.
