You know... if I had to choose between giving up Margaritas or giving up my beloved family right now...
I'm pretty sure I'd be heading south.
Consider, if you will, the following:
This (imagine a photo) is NOT a picture of our kitchen because I would die of shame if one ever leaked out. The guile and stealth my daughter employs to avoid cleaning up after dinner reveals a deviousness that is a liiiiiiit-tle scary. Not only can I not find a clean glass to save my life, but I'm deeply troubled by a certain blob over there in the corner that seems to have taken up permanent residence.
And I think I just saw it move.
Then there's my dear, darling daddy who is now living with us. At his request, (a term I use loosely) I have spent quite a bit of time tending to all of his bills so they will be automatically paid each month. Despite patiently explaining to him several times that some of the payments are pending, he is, apparently, compelled to ask me every day if I've paid his Sears bill yet. Or his Macy's bill. Or his Sam's Club Discover card.
I have decided that credit cards are really overrated and should be outlawed immediately.
Spouse is following the path of many a wise son-in-law before him... he's either hiding in the bathroom, "running errands", or taking a nap.
The coward.
Dash (the dog) decided to mark his territory by lifting a leg to my lovely white drawer units that were brought downstairs so I could make cards of an evening in the bosom of my family.
AS IF. I hardly recognize an inkpad anymore.
Diva (the cat) has been eating like a pig out of sheer winter boredom - which means that she's increased her litter box use - and I find this extremely inconsiderate on her part.
And the fish?
He went on to a better place this morning.
I suspect I'll have to make the funeral arrangements because heaven knows nobody else around here will think to do it.
It's all really just too much for me to deal with right now.
If you'll excuse me, I have an appointment with Mr. Cuervo....
Hugs and good luck! Hope things get better soon. Maybe we should both runaway to some place warm!

I feeeeel your pain. But oh my, your sense of humor is enlightening. Just typing out your feelings in this light-hearted way is very cleansing. I know the chuckle you emitted from me was very cleansing. We have all (well Mommies) have been there. Wish I could have seen the funny side of life at that time in my life. I realize you weren't feeling giggly at the time, but know you have enlightened us out here in web land.
