At the risk of sounding heartless and unfeeling, I found Typepad's aneurism last week to be really annoying and inconvenient! I've had some perfectly lovely news to share but have been forced to sit here in silence while Typepad has recovered in its own sweet time.
And I'm not sure if this post will be finished before Typepad has a relapse, but I'm going to give it a shot.
I guess I should do this is chronological order, so here's the first bit of my exciting news - and it's a real stunner (for me, anyways).
Much to my surprise and delight, I was invited to join the Hampton Art Design Team! (Thanks, hearts, AND flowers to Joy Ott for suggesting me as a candidate to Kimber McGray and to Kimber for deciding to give me a chance!!!)
Fabulous News #2: I went off to our semi-annual stamping retreat in Cincinnati (which is always a blast) and got to hang out with some of the people I love best = especially my roomie Kelly Booth! The hostesses of our stampin' soire were Jana Millen (who is the angel who makes our retreat happen) and Jennifer McGuire. Other local "angels" who put forth a lot of effort to make this event happen were Tina Schrof, Sandi Neumann, Candy and Christy Wilkerson, Heather Ruwe, and Ginger Rohlfs.
Then there were other regulars: Latrice Murphy, Mary Dawn Quirindongo, Linda Baker, Joy Ott, and Leslie Hanna. I also got to make some new friends and meet some people I've never met online before: Ren-Yi Lo, Laurie Willison, Susan Wymer, Lisa Stein, Jocelyn Olson, Amy Kolling, and Sandy Allnock.
Also present were Kelly Marie Alvarez and Chari Moss from Lawn Fawn, and several Simon Says Stamp movers 'n' shakers (Heidi Crowl, Kristina Werner, Shari Carroll, Debbie Hughes [so much fun to finally meet "Limedoodle"], Nichol Magouirk, my darling Kathy Racoosin, Laura Bassen, and Stephanie Klauck.
We also had a quartet of store owners who were by far the most preductive of all of us. (I think they had to hire a moving van to take back everything they created.) Kate Farricker, Sharon Klima, Patti Euler, Monika Smith - you put the rest of us to shame!
But the very best thing was getting to finally meet my beloved Judy Jung! I had Kelly across from me and Judy to my right for four lovely days, so I was in hog heaven! Judy is delightful with a wicked sense of humor, and it just kills me that she doesn't live next door. I hear that Alabama is one of the cheapest states to live in... I wonder if I could talk Spouse into moving?
The only thing that was a bummer was the absence of Lisa Spangler and Sarah Moermon and her mom and Julie Ebersole.
If you're wondering if I left out anyone, I hope the answer is no!
If you're wondering why it took so long for me to post about this terrific event, just look at all of those links I had to insert!
Sheesh.
But my good news does not end here. Nosiree-bob - there's even more to come!!!
Thanks for stopping and have a blessed day!
Deborah
You make me cry!! Happy tears! My thanks to you for suggesting me as a newbie to the group. I met the most amazing and caring and talented group of women ever in the same room at the same time!! Meeting you, Deborah, was on my bucket list .. and then to meet Kelly, Sandy, Jennifer, Debbie, Lisa, Kim, Amy, Mary Dawn, Jana, Shari, ... and I could go on for about 30 more. Thank you for taking me under your wing, letting me monopolize your time, and teaching me a few things about my phone!! Wish I had spent more time learning from you and Kelly!! Hugs.

Congrats on the DT with Hampton Arts. And I'm so envious of you having a stamping retreat with Ace Crafters! I would have loved to be sitting next to you because you make me smile ... and you can stamp up a storm!
