Hey, There!
It's my day to post on the Memory Box Design Team blog, Outside the Box!
Today I rediscovered my Buttermilk Carton die. It's too large to store with the rest of my dies, so I had it tucked away, and, as they say, out of sight is out of mind... and I totally forgot I owned it!
So I decided I wanted to work on a simple treat box I could use for our Christmas dinner table - something that could act as one of those... whatayacallits? ... that thing with your name on it that sits at your plate and tells you where you're supposed to sit.
I swear I haven't had a single sip of a cocktail! I'm just having an airhead moment. (Please, if you know the name of these things, write it down in the comments because this is driving me nuts!)
Aaaanyway, the name would go on a strip of card beneath the ornament. And, while I'm thinking about it, those are not giant doves - they are perfectly porportioned. It's the trees that are small; they are dwarf varieties of pine and spruce trees. I also apologize for the somewhat washed out photo - the picture doesn't do the tree dies' embossing justice.
S U P P L I E S
Memory Box Dies (Advent Calendar, Buttermilk Carton, Frosted Pine Tree, Frosted Spruce Tree, Small Flock of Doves) and Stamp (Snow Flurry); Cardstock: Desert Storm (Neenah); Ink: Frost White Pigment (ColorBox); Accents: gems (My Mind's Eye); Ribbons: Martha Stewart, generic lace; Other: foam dimensional squares, mini-glue dots, ScoreTape
Thanks for stopping and have a blessed day!
Deborah
P.S. I just remembered the name of those thingies: PLACEHOLDERS!
Right?
Leave a comment anyway!
That is a cute idea. I believe they are place cards. Place holders, hold the cards. I can't believe I remembered that. Contrary to most, my brain works better in the early hours of the day. If you asked in the afternoon, I would just be shaking my head. Have a great day.

You certainly weren't having an airhead moment when you created this lovely little package! As for the size of the birds, they are in the foreground and appear larger than they really are! :)
