Out of interest would you share your 90% tools?

Hi, Brenda! I will be more than happy to share my tool list! Check back here on Wednesday, July 8! Thank you so much for leaving me a comment!!!

That's a GREAT idea, Deborah! I really need to try this since I'm overwhelmed with an entire room & closet FULL of stuff, but I have a hard time letting go.... and an even harder time of where to start!... Now I just need to find a huge box to put everything in, LOL! (I have a lot of everything, including tools. So much so that I haven't even taken my Big Shot out of it's shipping box because I have no room left to put it anywhere for use. The box has been sitting on one desk top since it arrived in May of 2014!!! I kid you not, over a year. I think I'm what you call a scrapbook hoarder! I've still got tools from 20 years ago!)... Thanks for the idea and encouragement that it's a do-able task :)

Paula, I hear you, sister-girl! You are not alone in your hoarding ways - LOL! I've already done some of the purging I address in my posts but there's plenty left, so I'll be doing it when I write the purging posts. I'm really hoping that you and others will join me as I know this is going to require some staunch support and encouragement. I'm hoping we can all be cheerleaders to one another! Sooooooooo, GO, PAULA, GO! PURGE THOSE TOOLS!!!

I forgot to mention in my post that Walmart sells 14"x14" boxes for about a $1. I use these boxes because they're quite strong, can handle 12"x12" paper, and stack easily.

And that says it all right there: "STACK easily."

I have enough unused supplies to STACK 14"x14" boxes... OH, THE HUMANITY!"

LOL!!! Thank Deborah :)

Hi, I like the idea of organising but I shudder at the thought of throwing away!!! I get used mushroom crates from the local grocery free. These are plastic mesh 40 x 27 x 10 cm. They stack but don't take 12x12"! I like that you can sort of see what's in them, although I do add a label as well. They are light but pretty sturdy and come in different mesh designs, which are sometimes cut up to make interesting masks and stencils. I do admit some have been loaded and stacked and well, that's it. They are a permanent stack. Most embarrassing are the ones where the label reads, part finished or finish these!! Ah, best intentions and all that stuff. I can't believe I'm admitting all this. Maybe it's therapy, like talking to myself, but with more weight cos maybe someone is listening, so I will make that move and tidy up a bit. Thanks for inspiring me in oh so many ways Deborah. Hugz

Well, Gail the hardest part is admitting you have a problem - LOL! Now that you've come clean, you can start the road to recovery. Trust me, I know how hard it is to give stuff up!!! That's why I find this method very useful. I think most of us need a weaning period, and once we get used to not seeing something, (that we're not even using) it's easier to let it go. I've actually had to get Spouse to remove a few boxes for me. I was afraid that if I looked in the boxes, (after not even remembering what was in there, for crying out loud!) I'd want to keep all of it. Which is just silly since I hadn't used it in six months! So one piece of advice is to not open the box once you hit the final purge date. "Let it go! Let it go! da-DUH-da-duh-duh-duh-DUH!" (In my head I sound AMAZING.)

Great advice!
