Now that basketball season is over, I'm wandering back to my life like a disoriented soldier from the front.
Okay, okay, that's probably a little bit of an exaggeration, but I do feel a bit battle-weary, nevertheless! (I'll tell you how tired I am - I totally forgot to do a blog post on my first ever... more on that later.)
Here's the card I made Linda for the February CCC. My embossing leaves a little bit to be desired, but the stamp is very detailed (so I'll know better next time to be a lot more careful with the inking step).
S U P P L I E S
Stamps: You're So Kind (Hero Arts); Cardstock: Tropical Teal, Ripe Avocado, Berry Sorbet, Stamper's Select White (Papertrey Ink); Ink: Distress Embossing (Ranger); Embossing Powder: Seafoam White (Ranger); Accents: gems; Dies: Honeyblossom Sprig (Memory Box); Tools: Paper trimmer, scoreboard, bone folder, corner rounder, Vagabond, butterfly punch (Martha Stewart), heat tool
I N S T R U C T I O N S
- Make a 4.25” x 5.5” base from Tropical Teal cardstock and round bottom corners.
- Die cut Honeyblossom Sprig twice from Ripe Avocado and temporarily adhere to card for visual placement of sentiment.
- Stamp sentiment with embossing ink, apply EP and heat.
- Permanently adhere Ripe Avodcado die cuts.
- Die cut Honeyblossom Sprig twice from Berry Sorbet, cut flowers and adhere them on top of Ripe Avodcado die cuts.
- Punch and adhere butterflies.
- Adhere gems.
Thanks for stopping and have a blessed day!
Deborah
