My February 2016 CCC Entry

Now that basketball season is over, I'm wandering back to my life like a disoriented soldier from the front.

Okay, okay, that's probably a little bit of an exaggeration, but I do feel a bit battle-weary, nevertheless! (I'll tell you how tired I am - I totally forgot to do a blog post on my first ever... more on that later.)

Here's the card I made Linda for the February CCC. My embossing leaves a little bit to be desired, but the stamp is very detailed (so I'll know better next time to be a lot more careful with the inking step).

S U P P L I E S

Stamps: You're So Kind (Hero Arts); Cardstock: Tropical Teal, Ripe Avocado, Berry Sorbet, Stamper's Select White (Papertrey Ink); Ink: Distress Embossing (Ranger); Embossing Powder: Seafoam White (Ranger); Accents: gems; Dies: Honeyblossom Sprig (Memory Box); Tools: Paper trimmer, scoreboard, bone folder, corner rounder, Vagabond, butterfly punch (Martha Stewart), heat tool

I N S T R U C T I O N S

Make a 4.25” x 5.5” base from Tropical Teal cardstock and round bottom corners.
Die cut Honeyblossom Sprig twice from Ripe Avocado and temporarily adhere to card for visual placement of sentiment.
Stamp sentiment with embossing ink, apply EP and heat.
Permanently adhere Ripe Avodcado die cuts.
Die cut Honeyblossom Sprig twice from Berry Sorbet, cut flowers and adhere them on top of Ripe Avodcado die cuts.
Punch and adhere butterflies.
Adhere gems.
