I had the pleasure of making a card for LaVon in Illinois this month. I took the liberty of expanding the Easter theme to include the Almighty's power in general because her husband has been battling (and winning!) cancer.
Before you go any further, you might want to sit down because... I decided to make a coordinating envelope. (Yeah, I know - shocking, isn't it? Lazy Girl Gets Motivated!). So it's not the best envelope art, but it'll do for a first time effort (need to work on my placement and composition).
The other thing I need to work on is actually paying attention to the stamps in the set. After I made the card, I realized that there were stamps that were meant to be used for the shading. (Would have been nice to have realized that before I'd finished it.)
S U P P L I E S

I N S T R U C T I O N S
- Cut white panel approximately 4" x 4" (I forgot to measure before I sent it).
- Using a MISTI, ink large Watercolor Anemones image's leaves with the Green Parakeet and stamp panel.
- Ink select leaf bits with New Leaf and stamp panel; repeat in areas with Ripe Avocado.
- Using a MISTI, repeat Steps 2 and 3 with the individual leaf stamps.
- Using a MISTI, ink the individual blossom stamps with Harvest Gold and stamp panel.
- Repeat Step 5 using the remaining ink colors, lightest (top of the petals) to darkest (bottom of petals).
- Using MISTI, stamp sentiment with Hibiscus Burst.
- Cut mat panel from Raspberry Fizz.
- Make base from Berry Sorbet.
- Layer and adhere stamped panel to mat to card base.
- Die cut leaves, curl up ends, and adhere to panel with glue.
- Die cut blossoms and adhere using foam dimensional tape.
- Adhere sequins.
- OPTIONAL: Follow Steps 2-5 to make a coordinating envelope.
Thanks for stopping and have a blessed day!
Deborah

Deborah, that decorated envelope was well worth the effort. It is gorgeous, as is the card. I have to remember to do that, too. Hugs.
