The hop has ended, the comments were read, (thank you so much to everyone who left one!) and all that remains is to draw a winner to receive this splendid Tropical Background stamp....
I'm sorry y'all had to wait for this post, but I contracted The Plague on Thursday and it's just impossible to blog and fend off marauding germs at the same time.
(My body has done this before; it mercifully allows me to end the semester before utterly collapsing into a feverish, congested, hacking mess. Very considerate, don't you think? This time, my last final ended at 2:00; by the time dinner was over at 5:00, I was a Goner.)
But I'm obviously recovering, so onto what matters!
Omitting myself, we had 17 participants and all their cards arrived by August 1 (yay-rah!), so they were all eligible for the prize: a Hampton Art clear stamp set. I have five different sets, and the winner gets to choose her favorite.

Welcome to Day #5 of my own personal challenge to see how many cards I can make with the new Fancy Pants Timbergrove product line and other leftovers from past holiday seasons.
Day #5's card is a bit more detailed that the others I've made thus far:
I don't know who wrote that song about the "hazy, lazy days of summer" but they must've been smokin' crack because my summer days are CRAZY!
Today I have a card and a giveaway. First, the card, published in the March, 2013, edition of Scrapbook News and Review:
Thank you card inspired by the style of Downton Abbey's Lady Crowley
I N S T R U C T I O N S
Make card base.
Cut patterned paper to fit card front, pierce hole for flower's brad and adhere bottom 2/3 to front (leave the top 1/3 unglued for now).
Round bottom corners.
Adhere trimming and trim at sides.
Punch out tag, stamp sentiment, and attach.
Nest flowers, pierce with brad and insert into patterned paper panel, flattening prongs behind.
Adhere top 1/3 of patterned paper panel.

There are two ways you can adhere a brad so it doesn't show on the inside of the card.
1. Lay out the design's elements on the patterned paper panel so you can pre-pierce the hole for the brad. Leave the top 1/3 of the paper unglued when you attach it to the card so you can insert the brad and open its prongs.
2. Open the brad's prongs on the back of the flower. Then adhere the brad/flower to the card using a strong adhesive.
Double your chances of winning! You may enter a link below only once if you provide a link to my blog within a post. But if you provide a link ON YOUR BLOG'S SIDEBAR, you may enter twice! (I would appreciate it if you would leave it there for at least 60 days.)
The winner. I will use will use Random.org to draw a name from the links below. The winner will be announced here on August 9, 2013. If she does not email me re: her prize by 11:59 PM, EST, on August 16, 2013, I will draw a replacement winner.
Thanks for stopping and have a blessed day!
Deborah

I love Vacation Bible School. I really, truly do. As a matter of fact, we did two of them this summer over the past three weeks - and they were grand - but I am relieved and grateful that they are over. Well, there's still Sunday's big show, but for all intents and purposes, it's finished.
I wonder if they have a recovery clinic for VBS junkies....
How's about a card? I made this card using products from two of my favorite companies: Hero Arts and Memory Box.
S U P P L I E S: Cardstock: Cougar 80# white, Peapod, Lavender, Concord Grape (Memory Box); Patterned papers: Viola 6x6 (Memory Box); Ink: VersaFine; Pen: Zig; Stamp: Find Joy (Hero Arts); Dies: Darla, Vivienne (Memory Box); Other: foam dots, dot glue runner (American Crafts)
Die cut butterfly and body, assemble, and adhere to card using dimensional tape.
Draw flight path with pen.
By the way, don't forget to sign up for my big $200+ blog candy give-away! The entry period ends on July 15th (it was extended because for a variety of reasons)!
They say every cloud has a silver lining, so I look at the end of the Lily Pad as an opportunity to get reaquainted with my cardmaking community on a more personal level again and a chance to play more with my stamps and make some videos. (I had just gotten my snazzy little HD video camera two months before we launched LPC and it's been gathering dust ever since.)
I also see this silver lining as extending to y'all. To celebrate the resurrection of my blog, I'm offering a rather nice little parcel of stamping swag!
The prize package. Stamps and other crafty items with a retail value of over $200.
The requirements. To be eligible to win these goodies, you must:
Post my badge on your blog (or online photo gallery if you don't have a blog); AND
Add your name to the list below with a link to your blog post/photo gallery showing my blinkie.
The deadline. 11:59 p.m., EST, Sunday, July 15th.
The winner. A winner will be selected via random draw and revealed here on Monday, July 16. The winner will need to contact me via email by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, July 23rd to claim her prize. If I don't hear from the winner, I will select a new winner.
The fine print. This contest is global. However, if it will cost me more than $15 to mail the parcel to your country, I respectfully request that you split the cost of postage 50/50. I doubt it will come to that, but I think that sharing the cost of postage is a very small price to pay for getting all this great stuff! ;~D
The blinkie. I just taught myself how to make a blinkie! Just this very minute. (Or NINETY minutes, I should say.) It won't win any awards, but I'm still proud as punch that I figured it out! Leave me a comment if you would like for me to do a tutorial on this. You can get the code for this baby over in the sidebar.
