Hiya! Hiya! Hiya!
Lovely Jo (aka: Dotty Jo) asked me to guest design over at the Naughty or Nice Challenge Blog, and I was quite excited to do so. If you've not been over there before, their monthly card challenge asks for either a nice card or a naughty one.
Now I have to admit that I find this concept intriguing. I mean, for years now I've made hundreds of cards that are uplifting and cheerful and nice. The thought of making a card that is rude or cranky or filled with innuendo or a flirty double-entendre... well, I had a marvelous time making my card!
The Naughty or Nice theme this month is Hello, Cupcake, and you have until the 25th to link your card.
Obviously, I had to make my own sentiment because "You can cup my cake"Šī¸ isn't on a rubber stamp. It's not even on a tee-shirt. (I know this because I did a search for cupcake quotes and there were no references to cupping cake out there.)
But I bet there will be now! đ
I also had to remove the pie our cheeky girl was holding. I replaced the pie with a retired Hero Arts cupcake. My lettering is a little rusty, and I had to do this card base THREE times because the white ink pen played me false on the first two attempts. I switched over to colored pencil rather than take any further risks, and I do like the way it looks like chalk.
